The Mentoring in Schools Program is a joint initiative between the Institute for Professional Learning. Traditionally the mentor is an elder experienced school teacher who takes care for a student teacher in order to help him/her learn.

Support for education

  • Mentors help keep students in school.
  • Students who meet regularly with their mentors are high than their peers to skip.
  • Mentors help with homework and can improve their mentees’ academic skills.
